Exponential Functions
In this chapter, students explore exponential functions.  The theme of the chapter is writing exponential equations.  During this chapter students will:

  • Enhance their understanding of exponential functions through multiple representations (tables, graphs, and equations).
  • Distinguish between the growth in linear situations and exponential situations.
  • Begin to use the properties of exponents to transform expressions for exponential functions.
  • Learn how to graph exponential functions and use them to model real‑life situations.
  • Learn how to find exponential equations when given two points.
