CPM Course 3 – Chapter 5

Systems of Equations
In this chapter, students will write and solve equations of word problems with linear contexts.  The theme of the chapter is solving systems of equations using equal values method.  During this chapter:

  • Students will write equations from word problems.
  • Students will solve systems of equations where both equations are in y = mx + b form. ( graphically and algebraically) This will be done conceptually using a visual model.
