Rates and Operations

Chapter 7 extends the concept of ratios as comparisons. The themes are rates and operations. During this chapter students:
- Solve rate problems and identify that steeper lines on the same graph indicate faster rates.
- Find methods for efficiently dividing with fractions, mixed numbers, and decimals
- Simplify expressions and work with the distributive property using algebra tiles.
