Multiplying Fractions and Area
 In this chapter, students will develop a conceptual understanding of  multiplying fractions and decimals.   The themes are multiplying fractions and area. During this chapter:

  • Students develop strategies and rules for finding the area of quadrilaterals and triangles, and find the area of complex shapes.
  • Students multiply fractions decimals, and mixed numbers beginning with models and then using algorithms.
