CPM Course 1 – Chapter 1

In this chapter students will:

Learn some of the mathematical ideas on which this course is based (perimeter, area, patterns, factors, etc.) although mastery is not expected at this point.
Establish class norms such as having students reflect in Learning Logs and using focus questions to drive learning as well as collaboration in pairs and teams.
Provide an opportunity for the teacher to assess students’ skills and to review prerequisite material.
