Content Focus –Students work representing data, drawing conclusions and summarizing the information, and carrying out a data investigation of their own. |
Looking Back…In previous grades, students have worked with bar graphs and line plots to represent and interpret data. In 4th grade, they made arguments about the comparison of two groups based on the data. |
Looking Forward…In future years, students will work with increasingly complex sets of data, and compare more than one data set. This unit lays the foundation for understanding and carrying out various types of surveys and experiments. |
