Content Focus – Students work translating between 2-D and 3-D shapes, structuring rectangular prisms and determining volume.
Looking Back… This unit builds on work students have done for several years involving 2-D figures. They build upon that knowledge as they refine their understanding and means of classifying these figures.
Looking Forward… This unit provides the building blocks for students to understand a variety of formulas for calculating measures and developing detailed classifications of a variety of shapes.
