Looking Back…In Kindergarten, students explored data sets by counting. They sorted and counted items in they encountered and carried out simple surveys. |
Looking Forward…In 2nd grade students will shift to representing and describing numerical data (how many pockets do you have?), and explore how numbers can represent a single piece of data as well as a data set. Students expand the ways they can represent data using bar graphs, venn diagrams, line plots and tallies. |
