Dispensers installed middle and high school bathrooms
Eugene School District 4J is providing convenient access to free menstrual products.
The district has installed menstrual product dispensers in all middle and high school women and all-gender bathrooms. Additionally, products are available in all elementary school offices upon request.
The district had made menstrual products available for free to students at most schools. But in November the school board revised the policy to make them available at no cost from dispensers conveniently installed in bathrooms at all middle and high schools.
Seventy-eight dispensers have been installed in multi-stall bathrooms, and 42 devices have been placed in single-stall bathrooms.
