It’s school choice time for the 2017–18 school year! Families are invited to explore their school choice options, including their neighborhood school, by visiting schools for tours and events this week.
In Eugene School District 4J, families may enroll at their neighborhood school at any time, or may request to have their student attend a different school if space is available. Most schools also are open to requests from students who live outside of the 4J district boundary. An annual lottery determines the order in which students are offered spaces or placed on a school’s waiting list.
This week, Feb. 21–24, all 4J schools offer times when parents and guardians can visit the school. Parents are encouraged but not required to visit schools before making school choice requests. Parents are asked to RSVP for some tours, while others are offered on a drop-in basis. Please see the school tour and event schedule for details.

Non-residents: apply online Mar. 1–Apr. 1 at 5 p.m.
