Parents invited to visit schools this week

It’s school choice time for the 2016–17 school year! Families are invited to explore their school choice options, including their neighborhood school, by visiting schools for tours and events this week and the last week in February.
In Eugene School District 4J, families may enroll at their neighborhood school at any time, or may request to have their student attend a different school if space is available. An annual lottery determines the order in which students are offered spaces or placed on a school’s waiting list.
This week, Jan. 25–29, all 4J schools offer times when parents and guardians can visit the school before making their school choice requests. Visits are also offered during the last week in February, Feb. 22–26. Parents are asked to RSVP for some tours, while others are offered on a drop-in basis. School Choice Information Meeting
Parents and guardians are invited to attend a parent info night before the school choice application deadline in February. The evening will include an information presentation and a question-and-answer session about the school choice process.
