Measure 20-222 would continue local school funding without changing tax rate
This fall voters in the Eugene School District will decide whether to renew local funding for schools at the same property tax rate. Measure 20-222 is not a new tax or a tax increase, but a five-year renewal of the local option levy that has funded 4J school operations since 2000. The levy provides about $8 million per year, equivalent to about 16 school days or 80 teaching positions.
