District 4J is piloting TalentEd at the same time with the new Professional Development Growth Plan and Teacher Effectiveness System.  TalentEd will adapt to our system throughout the year to make sure it fits District 4J.   Ms. Moyer will be working with us throughout the pilot implementation year of our new system.  Below are more specifics about TalentEd.

Some Components of TalentEd are:

  • Configurable Online Evaluation Forms allow teachers, classified staff and administrators to complete their own observations, and summative evaluations and any other forms easily online. Automatic reminders inform employees when to complete their forms. Completed evaluations are automatically forwarded to appropriate supervisors for review. And, it is totally configurable to the new Professional Development Growth Plan and Teacher Effectiveness System rubrics.
  • Evaluation Scheduling – Principals can rely upon a automated evaluation scheduling. They still have full control of the process knowing that they can share tasks with their assistant principals.
  • Process Monitoring and Compliance – Ensure evaluations are being completed in accordance with district guidelines. With reminders, alerts and workflow capabilities, the system ensures that the correct document is being completed, at the correct time by the appropriate person.

Personal and Professional Goal Setting:

  • Teacher Portfolio Management – Now teachers can have their work-based portfolio in digital form in a single location with easy access to their supervisor when needed. Work based portfolios can be tied to District 4j standards.
  • Standards Management – Systematically connect evaluations to District 4J standards which are based on InTASC Standards.

Outcomes:

  • Feedback – It is easier than ever for employees to have access to the feedback they need. Evaluation results are available online anytime including historical information. Track performance results over time to show continuous improvement.
  • Track Performance Results – Monitor performance at the individual, building or district level. With easy to use reports and reminders, Superintendents and HR can see which evaluations are due soon and who needs to take the next step to stay on schedule.
  • Data- Driven Decisions – Dashboards and reports give access to a complete view of performance management. Evaluation data is linked to student data identified by Teacher and Principal or other relevant teacher performance data.
