Mr. Eric Ely

My name is Eric Ely and I am in my eighth year at Cox Mill.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the Ohio State University in secondary mathematics and science education and a M.S. degree from the University of Dayton in Educational Leadership.  I have also completed post-graduate studies at the University of Dayton and Union Graduate College in New York.  Prior to coming to Cox Mill, I served as a teacher, high school principal and superintendent in Ohio, New Hampshire, New York and Massachusetts beginning in 1981.  I have also served as a management consultant leading strategic planning, organizational development planning and human resources management initiatives in the private sector for two years.

I am happy to be here and to have the opportunity to help the Charger students become ready for their college or career of choice. Math is an integral part of every person's education because it helps us develop critical thinking and problem solving skills and strategies that extend well beyond the classroom.  I am always available to help students who need help and can be reached via email at eric.ely@cabarrus.k12.nc.us or by telephone by calling the high school.
