Mr. Lobo Plaza

My name is Gerardo Lobo Plaza. I am from Argentina and this is my fourth school year at CMHS! I am proud to be a member of the Charger community! 

I was born and raised in San Miguel de Tucumán, a city in the northwest of Argentina. I love travelling and learning about different cultures. I am convinced the first step to developing cultural awareness is learning languages. Learning foreign languages provides not only another means to communicate with people from different countries, it also enables us to better understand their culture, their habits and their perspective on the world. 

I graduated as a Teacher of English at Universidad Nacional de Tucumán, in Argentina. I hold a MA in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from Universidad Europea del Atlántico, in Santander, Spain. I taught English in my hometown from 2006 until June 2019, when I moved to North Carolina to grow professionally and gain experience as an international teacher. I am excited about teaching my native language and sharing my culture with students at Cox Mill High School!
