  • About Me

Welcome to my page! My name is Carly Coccaro and I am a graduate of Western Carolina University with honor degrees in both History and Social Science Secondary Education.  I graduated with accolades, including the Prospective Teacher of the Year for High School and the Dean's Outstanding Scholar Award for Social Science Education.

I have been teaching at Cox Mill High School since the spring of 2019. I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA, but I grew up in Concord, NC. I am so excited about being a Charger again, as CMHS is my Alma Mater!

Yes, I have always been a total history nerd.  In fact, whenever I was a child and someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I often said an "Egyptologist" or a historian that studies ancient Egypt.  I am so grateful to have the opportunity to teach my passion!
