My name is Nancy Shafer and I am the part-time ESL teacher at Cox Mill Elementary School.  I am a "retired teacher" who can't stay away from the classroom!  I moved to North Carolina from Ohio in 2005 and started my career in NC teaching at Bethel and Charles E. Boger Elementary Schools in Cabarrus County.  I am a certified Elementary teacher with a Master's Degree and National Board Certification. As an ESL teacher, I taught in Kannapolis City and Charlotte Mecklenberg schools systems until I retired in 2018.    I very much look forward to teaching and helping the EL students at Cox Mill.
