Hii Cowboys!!!

My name is Shirley Genao. I am super excited about being your child’s 3rd grade teacher this year! I was born and raised in New York City, and moved to Charlotte, NC in 2020, where I taught at CMS- Collinswood Language Academy.  Now currently living in Cabarrus County. I graduated from Hunter College with my bachelors degree and my masters degree in both childhood education and special education from Touro University. This will be my 10th year in education, 6 of which I have as a classroom teacher. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st grade & 3rd grade. Looking forward to an exciting year at Hickory Ridge Elementary School.
