Welcome to Hickory Ridge Elementary School. I look forward to collaboratively working with our students, staff, parents and community to promote student success and achievement. I am a North Carolina native and graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education (Go Pirates!). I have been in public education for 18 years. I was a third-grade teacher here in Cabarrus County prior to my endeavors in school administration. I am a North Carolina Principal Fellow and have served in many leadership roles within Cabarrus County including Principal intern at Hickory Ridge Middle School, Assistant Principal at Patriots STEM Elementary and Principal of Rocky River Elementary School. During my spare time I love spending time with my family, boating on the lake and traveling. I received my Masters Degree in School Administration from UNCC as a North Carolina Principal Fellow. I am so proud to serve our community as the principal of Hickory Ridge Elementary. Let's take on the World, Cowboys!

Welcome! I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the Harrisburg community at Hickory Ridge Elementary School. My journey to Hickory Ridge started when I came to North Carolina from New York to play soccer and get a degree in elementary education at Catawba College. My experiences as a student athlete helped mold me as an educator and leader. I believe that every member of a team or organization holds a vital role in its success. By supporting each other along the way, we will achieve our goals. I bring 23 years of experience in education with me to Hickory Ridge. I started in Cabarrus County in 2006 at Winecoff Elementary School, where I held roles as a teacher, multi-classroom leader, and lead core specialist. In 2018, I was chosen by Cabarrus County Schools to attend the High Point University Leadership Academy to obtain my master's degree in educational leadership. As part of the High Point program, I worked at Rocky River Elementary, Harris Road Middle, and Northwest Cabarrus Middle School. I am excited to put down roots at Hickory Ridge and work as a team to grow future leaders. Let’s take on the world, Cowboys!

Welcome to the Ridge! I am so excited to be joining the students, families, and staff at Hickory Ridge Elementary. I’m originally from New York, obtaining my Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. John Fisher College. My family and I relocated to North Carolina in 2013 where I started my journey in public education. I obtained my Masters Degree in Special Education from Appalachian State University while I started my teaching career in Craven County. I was a special education teacher for several years before transitioning into general education. Finding my passion as an advocate for students and families, I decided to go back to school for School Administration through Western Carolina University. Most recently in 2021, I began my journey in school administration as the assistant principal in Craven County. As I join Cabarrus County Schools, I am honored to join the Harrisburg community as a Cowboy at Hickory Ridge Elementary! Let’s shine brighter together!
