Bachelor's of Arts in Athletic Training Master's of Teaching Health and Physical Education

Mrs. Terri Mauldin

Welcome!! I am the Physical Education teacher at Hickory Ridge Elementary School!  I am so excited to be teaching you all about health and fitness and how important it is in your life!

A little backgound information about me:  I graduated undergrad from UNCW in 2010 with my Bachelor of Art's degree in Athletic Training.  I gained a graduate assistantship at Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia where I obtained my Master of Teaching degree in Physical Education and Health in 2012.  After graduation I still wasn't sure what I wanted to be when I grew up so I moved to Montgomery, Alabama where I was an Assistant Athletic Trainer for a small college. In the fall of 2013 I moved back home to North Carolina where I became the head Athletic Trainer and Physical Education Teacher at Mount Pleasant High School.  I loved it there but my heart was calling me to come teach at the elementary level.  This will be my 6th year teaching elementary PE. I am so excited to be a Cowboy and am ready help make new memories and traditions at Hickory Ridge Elementary School!!!

Please contact me with any questions or concerns you may have! I am looking forward to a GREAT school year!

Try to encourage your students to wear their tennis shoes on PE days so that they can participate and have fun with their classmates.

**Donations:  If you have any kids shoes that are gently used/worn and could be useful to other students in our school please let me know.  I would love to have some options for kids who forget their tennis shoes on PE days so they can participate in all of our fun activities safely.***
