Welcome to Fifth Grade!

I am so excited for my third year at Hickory Ridge Elementary!!  I have taught both fourth and fifth grade in Charlotte-Mecklenburg and Cabarrus County. I earned a BS in Elementary Education from the University of West Georgia and a Masters degree in Elementary Education from Walden University. This is my 11th year of teaching and I will be teaching both Science and Social Studies. Your child will also have Mrs. Elwood for reading/writing and Mrs. Gibson for math.

I grew up in Georgia (although I'm a Florida Gator fan) and moved to North Carolina 13 years ago. My husband and I have two girls.

I am so excited for the 2022-2023 school year!
