Mrs. Marks

My name is Mrs. Marks and I am so excited to be teaching this year at HRES!  I am originally from Michigan and have my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Bowling Green State University (Ohio). During my time at BGSU, I also took several Music courses. I love integrating music and movement into my daily classroom routines to keep my students enageged in learning. This will be my 12th year teaching and I feel so honored to have spent that time working at amazing schools in Michigan, Texas, Lousiana, and North Carolina. I have also taught Preschool and Third Grade but my favorite is Kindergaten. I love watching how quickly my students grow and change from the beginning of the year until the end. I have two children that will also be at HRES, and my husband is a Music Professor at UNCC. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy camping with my family, swimming, and relaxing with my favorite TV shows.
