Community members and families who have not yet seen the school are invited to tour the new Evergreen Elementary as part of the school's grand opening celebration on Monday, November 8 starting at 5:15 pm.
Community group tours will take place beginning at 5:15 pm and continue until 6:30 pm.
On September 7, 2021, the brand new Evergreen Elementary School facility opened for the start of the 2021-2022 school year. The completion was a full year ahead of the timeline originally promised in the bond.
The project was considered a school replacement project, as the new school building was constructed adjacent to the existing school, allowing students to attend on-site while the new school was being built.
Family and community group units can walk a designated tour route with staff and students present to answer questions and provide highlights.
Attendees are asked to wear face coverings and observe physical distancing as we follow COVID-19 safety protocols.
The Evergreen Elementary School project is the third school completed out of four elementary school construction projects, and six projects overall, funded by the 2019 capital projects bond. The bond was passed by voters, approving school construction to address extreme elementary school overcrowding and other emergency infrastructure needs.
