The communications team is the primary point of contact for the news media. Please call our office at (253)530-3706.

We share in-depth stories about the students, teachers and programs from our schools, and news about recent accomplishments and awards. Have a story idea? Email us at info@psd401.net.

In an effort to build strong relationships with staff, families and community members, we feel it is important to be visible in the community. We participate in community events and gather feedback through surveys and community meetings.

We provide communications strategy support for schools and departments. Staff can send us a ticket in Service Central to get started with communications planning for a program or event.

Using text messages and emails, we keep our staff and families up-to-date with the latest information about the school district. We are responsible for district-wide general and emergency notifications.

We publish a number of print and electronic publications including the staff newsletter, PSD In the Know, and our community publication, the Compass. We also assist schools and departments with brochures, posters, and banners. 

We manage the content on the district website and provide school training and support. We also coordinate the Educational Service Center's Web Leadership Team.

We connect with our community through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Follow us to get the latest news and information. 

The district also has a YouTube channel.

Not-for-profit community organizations that wish to provide information to students and families about educational and recreational opportunities may reach families through PeachJar. 

We create messaging for our bond and levy elections and produce factual information materials to distribute to staff and the community. We also provide guidance to staff on Public Disclosure Commission rules for election activities.

Telling our stories through multimedia is an important way to connect with our students, staff and community. Our team photographs events and produces videos about schools, programs, staff and students. Subscribe to our YouTube channel.
