Technology Inventory Specialist
LOCATION: Technology Services Department
JOB SUMMARY:
This position provides inventory and technology resource support for district staff. Receives, stocks, and maintains supplies and materials in the District’s technology resource center. Responsibilities include ensuring the resource center is always secure, tracking work orders, providing quotes, creating and submitting requisitions to receive purchase orders, processing invoices, and overseeing the surplus process. Oversees the distribution, tracking, and managing of all the district technology at every site. Supervises technology interns.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to the Executive Director of Digital Learning
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Tracks technology request tickets through Service Central (Fresh Service Interface) and Inventory using an online, web-based database system (Destiny)
2. Prepares purchase orders by creating requisitions in WSIPC/Skyward. Maintains records of purchases. Verifies receipt of merchandise against purchase orders. Approves payment for received items and route packing slips and invoices to Accounts Payable for processing. Packages up items and sends them to the appropriate schools via the Pony delivery truck
3. Responsible for the shipping, receiving, inventorying, and distribution of equipment and materials, including warranty repair services
4. Ensures scheduled delivery of requested items
5. Creates and maintains computer files and records for technology via the inventory database, as well as running reports and updating records as needed
6. Determine what technology is needed for upgrading devices according to the designated refresh cycle by device type
7. Responsible for conducting inventories at schools on a scheduled annual rotation.
8. Ensures resource center is locked when unattended; maintains security of resource center. Monitors resource center area for safety; attends to possible safety hazards promptly
9. Obtains bids and quotes on a variety of technology supplies and equipment. Communicates with vendors concerning purchase orders and placing orders
10. Assign duties and responsibilities to interns, provide training, and assist as needed. Make sure they stay on task throughout the day
11. Assign duties to Technicians and collaborate as needed to support district staff
12. Performs other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds. May be required to store hazardous materials or chemicals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
High School graduation or equivalent and two years of experience in the warehousing field, including receiving, shipping, packaging, inventory control, storage procedures, and database software experience.

● Knowledge of inventory control procedures and the ability to maintain accurate records
● Knowledge of proper packaging, storage, and shipping methods
● Ability to make accurate arithmetic calculations
● Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and English usage
● Effective oral and written skills
● Skill in operating computers
● Basic knowledge of updating, configuring, and management of computer devices
● Knowledge of database and spreadsheet programs, i.e., Microsoft Word & Excel, Gmail, Google Docs & Sheets
● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
● Ability to set up and maintain an accurate filing system
● Proficient in the operation of a manual pallet jack
● Ability to organize and set priorities
● Ability to work effectively under pressure and remain flexible
● Ability to maintain confidentiality
● Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the public
