PSD Logo Design Challenge - Help Design Our New Logo!
Calling all Peninsula School District students! Our district has had the same logo for 20 years. It's time for a major update and we need your help! Create your best logo that represents our school district and enter it in the PSD Design Challenge. These logos will be used as design inspiration for our new PSD logo and students will each receive formal recognition at a future school board meeting and prizes from our local sponsors. Winners will also be featured on the district website, social media and brand launch video.
What Are We Looking For In Our New Logo?
The purpose of this design challenge is to highlight student artwork from across our district and to give our graphic designers inspiration for a new graphic to represent the Peninsula School District. The logo should meet the following criteria:
- Creative and original design
- Simple, clean, timeless
- Incorporate the Peninsula School District name, spelled out
- Reflects PSD's Strategic Plan, Mission and Vision
- Reflects our entire community, both Gig Harbor and the Key Peninsula
- Must work well in color (use up to 5 colors) and black and white designs
Who Can Enter?
Current Peninsula School District students. There is a maximum of two entries per student.
What Are The Submission Guidelines?
- Logo artwork may be computer generated, hand-drawn or a combination. The design must be 2-dimensional and original work, not based on any third party designs, clip art, trademarks or copyrighted images.
- Upload your files digitally or submit your artwork to your school’s front office. Artwork must be submitted on 8.5” x 11” heavy weight paper and may use portrait or landscape orientation. Digital pdf files of artwork should be submitted in both color and black and white.
- Include a brief description (under 200 words) of your logo, the design inspiration and how your logo represents the Peninsula School District.
How Do I Submit My Logo?
- Fill out this form to enter the contest. All submissions are due by January 5, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.
- Submissions must include the full name(s) of the person(s) who designed the design, name of school they attend, parent/guardian’s name, parent/guardian’s permission, email address, postal address and telephone number, and must include a signed waiver.
Selection Committee and Prizes
The winning students at the elementary, middle and high school level will each be recognized at a school board meeting. Winners will also be featured on the district website, social media and brand launch video. Local sponsors Paige Schulte, Neighborhood Experts Real Estate and Rachel Peirce, R Storie have generously donated prizes for the winners:
Elementary School

Middle School

A committee made up of school board members, principals, district administrators and community members will select the top design at each of the three levels. These three designs will be forwarded to our branding graphic designer to create our new logo.
