    Newspaper club: 

    Beta Club: Beta Club is a national organization that promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, leadership, and community service. Students are required to  independently earn service hours outside of school hours and must maintain high academic and behavioral standards.  Applications are only accepted in the SPRING of each school year. More information will be available at that time.  Regular meetings are held once a month at 8 am in the cafeteria, but additional officer and/or committee meetings may be required.

    Robotics Club:   Harris Road Middle School will have 6 VEX IQ robotics teams this year.  Participation will be open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.  The VEX IQ program requires teams to build and program a robot to complete a task revealed each year. 

    All Harris Road robotics teams will consist of 5 members and meet before school on Monday & Wednesday from 7:40 a.m. - 8:40 a.m. Teams will also compete in at least 2 competition events that usually take up a good portion of a Saturday.  Dates TBD.

    If your child is interested have them fill out the Google form below. Please note that we receive lot of applications for the 30 spots. Once the selection is done, parents of the selected students will receive an email.

     If your child is chosen for one of Harris Road robotics teams, please be aware that a registration fee of $50 is required to cover the cost of competition, event fees, equipment and t-shirts. Additional costs may be necessary for state and world events if their team qualifies.

     

    Mountain Biking Club:  If you are interested in learning how to be a better bike rider, come see what we have to offer.  Ms. Vanover is the contact.

     

    Crochet Club - We are excited to offer a Crochet Club once again this year! It is open to 6th - 8th graders who are interested in learning or getting better at crochet. Students do not need to have prior experience. Meetings will generally be on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 4 to 5 PM. Our first meeting will be on Wednesday, 10/19 in Ms. Wood's room (room 906). Information Site

    SAVE Promise Club: 6th-8th students. This is a club that is designed for students who want to feel more connected to their school community, and help spread kindness! This club will work on activities and initiatives to help make Harris Road a more welcoming, inclusive, and supportive place. You may also be called out of your Encore classes during the school day to assist with implementing the activities we decide to do.  More information for the 2022-2023 school year to follow.
