Mrs. Jorgensen

Welcome everyone to 8th grade ALPS! I am beyond excited about a wonderful school year!  I can't wait to see each of you grow in your reading and writing adventures!

Let's get started with a little bit about me! I am originally from Tupelo, Mississippi. I graduated from Mississippi State University with an elementary education degree and a concentration in middle school ELA.  In my spare time, you can find me reading, gardening, cooking, traveling, and spending time with my wonderful husband and dogs.

I began my first job as an 8th Grade Middle School ELA teacher in Tupelo.  After my first year of teaching, I moved to Delaware with my husband and continued my teaching career in Middle School ELA for two years.  Finally, we decided to move to North Carolina, where I began teaching at Hickory Ridge Middle School.  I spent three years there teaching ELA and ALPS.  I am so excited to continue my passion for teaching at Harris Road this year.  I hope I can continue to make a positive impact on each and every learner.
