Ms. McClerklin

Hello Students and Parents and Welcome to 8th Grade Math! I am excited about beginning my second year at Harris Road,on the Allegiance Team, and my seventh year teaching math.

I recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Master's of Arts in Teaching Middle Grades Math. My joy of teaching is helping students overcome their fears, build their confidence, and advance their knowledge of math concepts. I believe in the TEAM mindset, which means, Together Everyone Accomplishes More. It is my firm belief that ALL students are capable of learning when they are challenged, encouraged, and celebrated. I look forward to learning about my students, their families, and becoming partners in their mathematical success.  

In my free time, I enjoy listening to music (the 80's and 90's are my favorite decades for music in many genres), singing (karaoke is simply singing while having fun), and traveling (still so many places to go on my list). Writing (journaling and poetry) is another activity that I enjoy.
