Mrs. Elizabeth Vanover

Mountain Biking Club information in my Class Documents Page. 

My name is Mrs Vanover and I am Ms Bartlett's Earth and Environmental Science teaching assistant.

I spent more than 15 years as a veterinary technician, during which I got to work with all kinds of animals, from bulldogs to bobcats and barnyard animals to bald eagles. I have lots of stories about my years as a vet tech that I can share with my classes.  Once I became a mom, I started volunteering in my kids' classrooms, and then substituting. From there, I became a teaching assistant at Cox Mill High School, working with the sciences, forensics, and Spanish classes. In 2019, I decided to make it official and went back to college to get my teaching degree in Earth sciences, and am now in my sixth semester as a college kid, so I have homework too!

My husband and I have two boys. One is grown and out on his own, and one is a senior on the mountain biking team and marching band at Cox Mill High this year. Go SOCM! I  have a Catahoula dog, a bunch of chickens, and a big old Belgian cross horse with blue eyes.

I can't wait to meet all of my new students and get this year started!
