      • Start work on your books
    • Wednesday - Friday, May 16-19, 2017
      • Work on your vocabulary books
      • Instructions:
        • Create a biology vocabulary book
        • Each page should be for one letter and contain the three words/definitions that you found earlier in the week
          • DEFINITIONS MUST COME FROM THE STANDARD BIOLOGY TEXT BOOK, POWERPOINTS OR WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN ON THE BOARD.  If you google search or use another unknown source and/or write a definition that doesn't make sense for this class or doesn't go into enough depth you will NOT get credit.
          • All words and definitions must be neatly written in the book 
          • Can not be written in graphite pencil - can be color pencil, marker, pen, etc
          • Remember - neatness and creativity are part of the final grade so keep that in mind when writing the words!
        • Each page should have one picture depicting one of the words
          • The picture can be printed or drawn
          • It can not consist solely of letters or numbers 
          • It must be in color
      • Rubric:

        50 points

        Words - Each word and definition is worth .6 points – if the definition isn’t complete or correct then no credit will be given.  Words/definitions must be hand written but can not be written in pencil.

        25 points

        Pictures – Each picture is worth 1 point.  No credit will be given if relationship to word is not easily understood (or explained in caption in the book).  No credit will be given if the picture is not in color.  Pictures may be hand drawn or printed off. Each picture should have a caption/label showing what vocabulary word it is attached to.

        15 points

        Creativity – different colors used throughout book, interesting pictures used,  the book itself is decorated, pages are something other than white paper, the way the book itself is made etc  You must do multiple things to get full credit for being creative! 

        10 points

        Neatness – writing is legible, pasted or cut portions have been done cleanly, no random marks, coloring done well, pages don’t have writing bleeding through to eachother etc
