A Call to Action: Need for Federal Funding to Support Public Schools

For the past six weeks the Fairport Central School District has provided technology resources to support online learning activities, social-emotional support to some of our students and over 10,000 breakfast and lunch meals to those in need.

Fairport High School recognized in 2020 U.S. News & World Report Best High School Rankings

Fairport High School is one of the best in the nation according to the annual U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 Best High Schools Rankings released on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.

The publication evaluated more than 17,700 public high schools across the country. According to the report, Fairport High School ranked 1,296 on the list of best schools in the country,

Instruction & Total Draft #2 Budget with Revenues presented to Board, April 21

Superintendent of Schools Brett Provenzano and Assistant Superintendent for Business Matt Stevens presented the instruction and total budget draft #2 with revenues to the Board of Education at its Board of Education Meeting, April 21, 2020.

Statement regarding online incident

A video was recently brought to the Fairport Central School District’s attention depicting inappropriate content that was shared during online learning. The District is reviewing this and will appropriately address the matter.  The District will also take appropriate actions moving forward to verify that our secure District online platforms and protocols are utilized in this new online environment.

Fairport High School Senior Recognized with National “Outstanding Young Women in Chemistry” Award

FHS Amy Ruan

In an effort to promote interest in chemistry among young women, Iota Sigma Pi, the national honor society for women in chemistry, has presented 46 female high school students with the “Outstanding Young Women in Chemistry” award.  Recipients of the award show high academic achievement in chemistry.

Fairport High School Senior Amy Ruan is one of the recipients of the “Outstanding Young Women in Chemistry” award.
