About Our School

Mission: 

At Brooks Hill School it is our mission to create a culture of learning where each student is empowered to meet or exceed high academic standards. We embrace collaboration and strive for continuous improvement so that all our students reach higher levels of learning.

Facilities:

Brooks Hill School opened in September 1962. Since then there have been several additions and the school now includes the following learning spaces: updated classrooms, library media center, an art room, a music room, a health room, 2 instrumental music lesson rooms, 2 gym areas, remedial math and reading rooms, speech/language room, special education classrooms, primary project room, health office, psychologist's office, social worker's office, a Wonder Lab, cafeteria, office, playground, and playing fields.

Congratulations to our Fairport High School music students who were selected to participate in the New York State Conference All-State earlier this month. Our Fairport students performed solos at NYSSMA Solo Festivals and received perfect scores in order to be selected in this highly competitive experience comprised of the highest level of musicianship for high school students in New York State. A new chapter of of technology education begins at Johanna Perrin Middle School as students take their first classes in the school’s new Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) wing! The new spaces are the culmination of years of design, collaboration and construction as part of the voter-approved Fairport Forward 2019 Capital Improvement Project.

The Fairport Central School District is proud to announce that through the combined efforts of our elementary school students, families and staff, the District and our partners at Crazy Dog T-Shirts collected $11,000 in donations for UR Medicine’s Golisano Children’s Hospital!

Students at Northside, Dudley, Brooks Hill and Jefferson Avenue collected donations at school and online this past October as part of the annual Fall Crawl.
