Future-Ready Raiders: Students cut the ribbon on new technology wing at Johanna Perrin

A new chapter of of technology education begins at Johanna Perrin Middle School as students take their first classes in the school’s new Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) wing! The new spaces are the culmination of years of design, collaboration and construction as part of the voter-approved Fairport Forward 2019 Capital Improvement Project.

Annual Fall Crawl raises $11,000 for Golisano Children’s Hospital

The Fairport Central School District is proud to announce that through the combined efforts of our elementary school students, families and staff, the District and our partners at Crazy Dog T-Shirts collected $11,000 in donations for UR Medicine’s Golisano Children’s Hospital!

Students at Northside, Dudley, Brooks Hill and Jefferson Avenue collected donations at school and online this past October as part of the annual Fall Crawl.

Members of the school’s new Raiders on Patrol and Honor Guard team line up at the flagpole to assist in the school’s daily flag-lowering ceremony.

Five FHS musicians earn spots in elite youth orchestra

Congratulations to Fairport High School students Milo A., Helena D., Declan W., Eamon G. and Adrienne Q.! All five musicians were chosen for the 2023-2024 Hochstein Youth Symphony Orchestra, the music school’s highest-level student ensemble. 

Students from across the area compete every year for a seat in the HYSO.
