Fairport High School is one of the best in the nation according to the annual U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 Best High Schools Rankings released on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.
The publication evaluated more than 17,700 public high schools across the country. According to the report, Fairport High School ranked 1,296 on the list of best schools in the country, 119 out of 1,217 schools in New York state and 9 out of 75 schools in the Rochester, NY metro area.
U.S. News ranks schools on factors that include the school’s relative performance on state tests, how well they prepare students for college, how underserved students perform, graduation rates and a calculation based on the number of students taking Advanced Placement classes.
