Fairport’s Absentee Vote Process 

District Office Absentee Ballot Drop Box

Absentee ballots for the Fairport Central School District’s 2020-21 school budget vote and board election along with the Public Library’s budget and board election have been mailed out to all residents in the District.

Qualified voters who did not receive an absentee ballot may request one by contacting Deputy District Clerk Taylor Buffa via email at tbuffa@fairport.org.

Ryan Charno is named principal at Jefferson Avenue School beginning July 1

Ryan Charno

The Fairport Central School District has appointed Ryan Charno as the new principal of Jefferson Avenue School. Charno is currently the assistant principal of Dudley School.

With more than 15 years of experience in education, Charno has been at Dudley School since 2014, serving as assistant principal. Previously he taught elementary students in the Victor CSD.

Three candidates running for three open seats on Board of Education

The Fairport Central School District Board of Education is composed of seven members elected by residents of the District. Members are elected for a term of three years and serve without pay. There are three candidates running for three open positions. The incumbents are Margaret Cardona and Joyce Kostyk. The three candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected to three-year terms beginning July 1,

2020-21 Fairport school budget adopted by Board – vote is June 9 via absentee ballot

The Fairport Central School District Board of Education voted to adopt the 2020-21 school budget at the Special Meeting of the Board of Education, May 11.

The Board of Education, in conjunction with District administration, has re-examined the 2020-21 school budget because of the COVID-19 pandemic and economic pause.
