Per New York State Education Law 3635, applications for transportation to/from childcare and nonpublic schools are due by April 1 each year. There is no need to complete transportation forms for children attending Fairport schools if they will be transported to/from home. Please complete one form per child. The applications for nonpublic schools require the signature of the principal.
Instruction & Total Draft #1 Budget with Revenues presented to Board, March 17

Fairport’s Robotics team to compete in FIRST® Finger Lakes Robotics Competition, March 12-14
The Fairport Central School District Red Raider Robotics Team 578 will compete in the FIRST Finger Lakes Robotics Competition at the Rochester Institute of Technology’s Gordon Field House, March 12-14. This year’s theme is FIRST Launch Infinite Recharge.

Annual District Art Show is March 19-April 1
The Fairport Central School District’s Annual K-12 District Art Show kicks off March 19 with the opening night from 4-6 p.m., with the show continuing through April 1 at the Perinton Square. The annual event celebrates the work of Fairport’s K-12 student artists.
Eight Fairport teams advance to State Odyssey of the Mind Tournament
Congratulations to Fairport’s 12 teams who competed in the Region 14 Odyssey of the Mind Tournament on March 7. Eight (8) teams will advance to the New York State Finals Tournament on April 4 in Binghamton, N.Y. Our district is sending more teams than any other district in the region!
2020 Census
The Fairport Central School District is partnering with the U.S. Census Bureau to make sure the community is accurately represented in the 2020 Census, a nationwide population count taken every 10 years. The 2020 Census invitation postcards will be mailed to homes beginning on March 12, 2020. Census data determines the allocation of more than $675 billion in federal funding to states and communities for the next 10 years,

Martha Brown Middle School to present “Shrek the Musical” March 20-21
Martha Brown Middle School will present “Shrek the Musical” on Friday, March 20 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 21 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. Tickets are $7 each and can be purchased during lunch periods (10:15-1:10 p.m.) or at the door.
