A new chapter of of technology education begins at Johanna Perrin Middle School as students take their first classes in the school’s new Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) wing! The new spaces are the culmination of years of design, collaboration and construction as part of the voter-approved Fairport Forward 2019 Capital Improvement Project.

Renowned Native American artist G. Peter Jemison paid a visit to Fairport High School’s Art and DREAM Clubs this week. Works by Mr. Jemison, a member of the Seneca Nation, are shown in galleries around the world. His art is strongly influenced by the concept of “orenda” –
Congratulations to Fairport High School students Milo A., Helena D., Declan W., Eamon G. and Adrienne Q.! All five musicians were chosen for the 2023-2024 Hochstein Youth Symphony Orchestra, the music school’s highest-level student ensemble.
Students from across the area compete every year for a seat in the HYSO.
The Fairport BOE approved the 2024-2025 budget goals at the business meeting on October 17 . These goals will help district leaders and the Board of Education prioritize resources and programming for the 2024-2025 school year:
1. Prioritize the District’s School Improvement initiatives including:

2,800 YES votes – 73%
