Only authorized 4J users are permitted to use and access this computer, the computer networks, and the systems of the Eugene School District 4J. The use of these computers/networks is a privilege granted to members of the 4J community.
Data and data transmissions on this system may be intercepted, monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected, and disclosed at the discretion of the District subject to applicable laws. By logging into this system, you agree not to use this system for any illegal purpose or to make any unauthorized use of this system or another party’s intellectual property.
All use of this system is subject to the District’s rules and regulations, including without limitation the District’s Appropriate Use Guidelines, which is available for your review here.
When using this account, you are agreeing to:
- Take no actions which violate the Student’s Rights and Responsibilities, the District’s Administrative Rules, or other applicable policy or law.
- Use these resources only for purposes consistent with the District’s mission and applicable policy, guideline, or law. Inappropriate use includes, but is not limited to:
- sending harassing messages or in any way harassing other computer users;
- gaining OR attempting to gain access to accounts or files without permission on any computer or network system;
- making unauthorized copies or distributing copies without permission of any copyright protected software, or other copyrighted or trademarked material, regardless of source;
- taking actions which threaten the security or capacity of computer or network systems, or which destroy, damage or overload these resources;
- violating any applicable law, guideline, or policy.
Failure to abide by these policies will result in revocation of your privileges to use computing and network resources. Although we have backup procedures in place, use of these facilities is at your own risk since recoverability and security of data cannot be guaranteed. Files, data and disks may be considered District property and are therefore subject to access by the District. Certain data may also be subject to access pursuant to Oregon Public Records statutes, via subpoena, or consistent with other state or federal law.
Inspection, monitoring or disclosure of e-mail may be granted or required under conditions described in the District’s Administrative Rules section G2300.10. The Staff E-Mail Usage procedures will be followed where necessary.
