Overview
NC Virtual Public School (NCVPS) provides students an opportunity to take classes online that may not be available at HRHS and have a minimum GPA of 2.8. NCVPS is a distance learning option available on campus in our YES Center or at home. NCVPS has high expectations and students should plan to put forth the same effort they would in a seated class on our campus; 80 minutes a day! If you would like to take a NCVPS course online, please talk with your school counselor and fill out the form linked below. You can also find a complete listing of courses offered on NCVPS by visiting https://ncvps.org/
A successful NCVPS student is one who has the following qualities: an independent learner.- Strong reader
- Motivated
- Successful in NCHS classes
- Has home internet access
- Has computer skills
Attention Parents
NCVPS is excited to announce that parents and guardians can now view their students' progress in their Canvas courses. Observers have limited permissions that allow them to view what is happening in a course without interrupting the flow of daily course communication. To learn more about observing, open the following link for detailed instructions and screenshots, NCVPS Parent Canvas Access Instructions. You can also follow the website listed below for more information and where to sign up for Parent Canvas Access.
