Welcome to the 2022/2023 School Year!
In my eighth year of teaching, I earned a Master's of Art in Teaching in December 2016 after spending more than 20 years in the public relations and marketing field – working for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and with various NASCAR drivers and sponsors afterward. My bachelor’s degree is in public relations from the University of Florida. I always had an interest in education and decided to make the leap in 2013 by attending classes at the University of North Carolina - Charlotte.

4th period: Math 2
Away from school, our family enjoys attending and watching sports events along with going to concerts. We also like going to our son's hockey games and listening to him play the saxophone for Hickory Ridge High School Marching Band -- our dogs often join in during practice sessions at home. Our daughter is a freshman at Appalachian State, studying to become an athletic trainer. As time allows, we travel around the United States, taking in as many sites as we can. This summer, we visited all 12 minor league stadiums that are associated with the MLB in North Carolina.
