Mr. David Broome
Hello, and welcome! My name is David Broome and I'm proud to be a member of the outstanding team of educators that the Hickory Ridge Family has to offer. This is my 1st year at Hickory Ridge and my 8th year working for Cabarrus County Schools. You can find me in the gym teaching Health & Physical Education.
I'm from Charlotte, NC and I'm a product of Cabarrus County Schools. I graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High and East Carolina University, where I earned my BA in Mathematics and BS in Secondary Mathematics Education.
In addition to teaching Health & Physical Education, I take great pride in being one of the instructors for the Driver's Education Program here in Cabarrus County as well as the Head Varsity Men's Basketball Coach.
My goal as an educator/coach is to create opportunities for all students to learn and develop important life skills while at Hickory Ridge. I look forward to a very positive and successful 2022-2023 school year!

PowerSchool's Parent Portal gives parents and students access to on-line information including attendance, and grades. Everyone stays connected: Students stay on top of assignments, parents are able to participate more fully in their student's progress, and teachers can share information with parents and students. I encourage students, along with their parents, to have the username and password to be able to ensure that all assignments are completed and turned in on time and also to keep track of their current class average and overall G.P.A.
