Lloyd “Bud” Catlin
Class of 1946, Athlete, 2007 Inductee
Due to WW II, there was no football played during this athlete’s career, but he did not let this prevent him from proving what a terrific all-around athlete he was. As a sophomore, he lettered in basketball, baseball and tennis where he was a county doubles champion. He also participated in track.
During his junior year, he was the leading scorer on the basketball team and added letter in track, baseball and tennis where he repeated as county doubles champion. During the winter he participated as a member of the Warsaw bowling team and won the Wyoming County Ping pong championship.
In his senior year, he was the captain and leading scorer of the 12-6 basketball team. He played shortstop on the league champion baseball team and as a letterman on the track team he set and at the time of his induction still holds the Warsaw long jump record of 21 feet, 4 inches.
