“Miss Hills” guided Warsaw female athletics from the “classic” era through Title IX and into what we know as present day women’s athletics. The list of sports that she coached includes: Field hockey, soccer, basketball, volleyball, softball, track, cheerleading, bowling and badminton.

In addition to serving as the advisor for the Girls Athletic Association, Sharon coordinated what were referred to as “play dates” for track, co-ed volleyball and bowling.  She also ran the intramural program for the women. From 1969-1976, Sharon served as the only coach for every team at every level in the women’s athletic program.
