Once said of himself:  “I am like a utility infielder.”  How true this statement is.  Since 1963 he has been a fixture at Warsaw athletic contests, selling tickets, chaperoning, working the scoring tables and coaching.

He has coached more contest than any individual in the History of Warsaw Athletics.  He coached 75 seasons in the following sports; Track, Wrestling, Baseball, Softball, Basketball (boys and girls), Volleyball, Tennis and Soccer. 

His Softball teams won seven Division Titles, two Section V Championship and one Final Four appearance.  From 1995 – 1998 their record was 79 – 6.  His undying dedication to Warsaw Athletics may never be surpassed.
