Fairport Central School District mailed its District residents the latest edition of its newsletter, the Commentator. The 2021-22 proposed budget vote date is Tuesday, May 18, at Johanna Perrin Middle School gymnasium from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Residents who are unable to vote on the school budget and Board of Education candidates on May 18, 2021 because of disability, illness or travel may apply for an absentee ballot through the Office of the District Clerk, 38 W. Church Street, Fairport, NY 14450.

Fairport High School (FHS) students have reached new heights with their engineering and planning skills, as they presented plans to NASA scientists for a “lunar supply pod” that would help re-provision future moon missions.
A family with deep ties to the Fairport community wants to help celebrate young people who go above and beyond to help others. The family of Eagle Ryan, a 2014 Fairport High School graduate who died in a tragic crash in 2020, plans to award a $1,000 scholarship to a FHS senior in Eagle’s memory at the end of next school year.

The Fairport Central School District Board of Education (BOE) is composed of seven members elected by residents of the District. Members are elected for a term of three years and serve without pay.
There are four candidates running for two open positions in the May 2021 election.
The Fairport Central School District is pleased to announce the appointments of District administrators after being confirmed by the Board of Education in April.
The Board of Education confirmed the appointment of Dominic Monacelli as the Principal for Minerva DeLand School. Monacelli has served as Acting Principal for Minerva DeLand since August 2020.
The Fairport Central School District Board of Education voted to adopt the 2021-22 school budget at the April 20 Board of Education meeting at Fairport High School.
Budget highlights include:
Jamie Naple, of Victor, was appointed as Dudley School’s next principal at the April 20, 2021 Board of Education meeting, beginning July 1, 2021. She will replace Karen Fingar, who is retiring at the end of June.
Mrs. Naple has extensive primary and elementary experience as a teacher and administrator.
Superintendent of Schools Brett Provenzano and Assistant Superintendent for Business Matt Stevens presented the instruction and total budget draft #2 with revenues to the Board of Education at its Board of Education Meeting, April 20, 2021 with its Budget Adoption Presentation.
