Thank you to those who joined me last night for our Virtual Community Meeting. For those who did not participate in the forum, in summary: Beginning on Monday, April 19, 2021 all Fairport students will begin five days per week of either in-person or 100% fully virtual instruction.

The Fairport Central School District announces petitions for two Board of Education candidate positions. Voters will elect two members to the Board of Education at the annual budget vote on May 18,
Residents who are unable to vote on the school budget and Board of Education candidates on May 18, 2021 because of disability, illness or travel may apply for an absentee ballot through the Office of the District Clerk, 38 W. Church Street, Fairport, NY 14450.

The Fairport Central School District is hosting a Virtual Community Meeting via the District’s Youtube channel on Thursday, March 25 beginning at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of the forum will be to share updated information on the District’s plan to move forward with a return to full-time instruction.

Brotherhood-Sisterhood Week
It was a week of connections and togetherness in Fairport as we celebrated our 25th annual Brotherhood-Sisterhood Week. High school students teamed up with elementary school classrooms to share and model the meaning of C.A.R.E. – where we treat each other with Civility,
The Fairport Central School District’s 2020-21 Quick Reference Districtwide Safety Plan is currently under a 30-day review. Comments may be sent to the District Clerk by emailing Arielle LaBarbera at alabarbera@fairport.org.
The Public Hearing for this Plan will take place at the Board of Education Meeting on Tuesday,
The Fairport Central School District welcomed members of the Fairport community, March 8, to attend a virtual presentation on local history as an introduction to new units and texts that students will experience this year and next as part of the new culturally responsive curriculum. The curriculum is part of Fairport’s commitment to Diversity,
The Fairport Central School District Board of Education (BOE) will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss school reopening. The meeting will be held in room 512 at Fairport High School.
The meeting format is an open discussion between board members.
Superintendent of Schools Brett Provenzano and Assistant Superintendent for Business Matt Stevens presented the instruction and total budget draft #1 with revenues to the Board of Education at its Board of Education Meeting, March 17.
