Fairport Central School District

The Fairport Central School District Board of Education (BOE) is composed of seven members elected by residents of the District. Members are elected for a term of three years and serve without pay.

There are four candidates running for two open positions in the May 2021 election. The incumbent is Peter Forsgren. The four candidates running for the BOE are listed here in the order that they will appear on the ballot:

  • Dr. Mary Caitlin Wight
  • Stacy Schell
  • Nathanael Brown
  • Peter Forsgren

The candidate who receives the highest number of votes begins office the day after the vote (May 19, 2021), and the person with the second highest number of votes will begin office on July 1, 2021. Residents will vote on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Johanna Perrin Middle School from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Meet the Candidates Night on Wednesday, May 5 at Fairport High School Room 512 at 7 p.m. is an opportunity to meet the candidates running for the Board of Education, and the candidates running for the Fairport Public Library Board of Trustees. This event offers community members the opportunity to ask questions (due by May 1 – see below) and hear from Fairport’s prospective Board members for both the District and Public Library.
