• Volunteers Hours

STEM students are responsible for 30 volunteer hours by March 31st of their Senior Year.  These 30 hours can be broken up between their Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Years.

    For example:

    Sophomore Year: 10 Hours

    Junior Year: 10 Hours

    Senior Year: 10 Hours

    What counts as Volunteer Hours?

    • Giving back to your community through a Non-Profit Organization

*Volunteer hours for other extracurricular groups (NHS, sports team, etc.) can count toward your hours.

What does not count as Volunteer Hours
    ?

    1. Any activity for which you are paid
    2. Any activity that takes place during the school day or as part of a class
    3. Any activity that you perform for a family member (You’re supposed to rake your grandmother’s leaves.  She is your grandmother. You should do that anyway!)

Be sure to look out for volunteer opportunities via the STEM NCHS Sign Up Genius Volunteer page.

Documentation must include a picture/video and event log which will include supervisor signature and reflection for each volunteer experience.
