Welcome to Mr. Thacker's Drafting website for all DRAFTING Courses at Northwest Cabarrus High School.  As a Drafting Teacher, my intent is to prepare students for the current and developing opportunities in fields of Architecture, Construction, Engineering and STEM related careers, providing them with skills and knowledge in CAD software systems and hand-ons experiences through project-based learning.  In these courses, students will have the opportunity to acquire User Certification(s) in the CAD software used in the classroom environment.  I appreciate the opportunity to work with young people and extend their knowledge for a better tomorrow.

  •

SkillsUSA is a student organization (club) in which students will learn, develop, and apply leadership and trade skills in a social environment.  SkillsUSA is a student led club with adviser support.  This is an opportunity for students to connect with other students, school, and beyond outside of the classroom and enhanced their high school transcript for college admissions and/or future employment.  The goal of SkillsUSA is to make "champions at work" by preparing today's students for the opportunities and challenges of tomorrow.  For more information, click on the SkillsUSA link at the upper left or visit www.skillsusanc.org and www.skillsusa.org.
